The Men’s Shed concept isn’t new, with over 1000 sheds already up and running Australia wide and more being funded and built, we are part of a strongly supported movement called “The Men’s Shed Movement”. Vincent Men’s Shed is located in North Perth, Western Australia.
Vincent Men’s Shed is an inclusive, community-based, non-profit and non-commercial organisation open to all members both male and female. Our major objectives are to advance social inclusion and assist the well-being of all members. Our primary activity is the provision of a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where members are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time. We predominantly work with timber but we have a small welding area and have a metal lathe.
The Vincent Men’s Shed is a City of Vincent initiative. The Shed was opened in 2014 and is next door to the North Perth Community Garden.
